Call for Authors on Leadership for ABA Law Practice Today E-zine
/Would you like to write an article for the Law Practice Today (LPT), the monthly digital publication of the American Bar Association’s Law Practice Division? LPT also goes out to the entire ABA membership through an email newsletter.
The theme of the October Issue is “Leadership,” and in my role as Issue Editor I am seeking articles related to this theme. I am posting this because the ABA is always looking for new voices and perspectives. We welcome submissions from lawyers and non-lawyers and you do not have to be an ABA member to be an author or to subscribe to Law Practice Today.
Articles could include topics such as managing associates or staff, visioning, strategy, generating consensus among partners, leadership in one’s community, thought leadership, changing the culture within a law firm, innovation, conceptual frameworks, really anything related to leadership or management of a law firm. Topics focusing on leadership of small, medium or large firms are all welcome.
Your article must be an original work, and cannot be a reproduction of an article previously published. Once it is published, you are free to provide links to it on your website or republish it, as long as proper credit is given to the ABA in the republication. You can review the author’s agreement here. Articles are typically between 800-1,500 words, but can be longer or shorter if appropriate to the subject matter.
If you are interested in submitting an article proposal (I hope you are!), you can either do so through the ABA system or you can contact me directly. My intention in offering this option is simply to reduce the burden on the hardworking ABA staff and ensure that I receive the information in a timely manner.
